Accessing and using Mural templates
Some of the tools in our Toolkit were created using Mural because they involve large, detailed diagrams that can be difficult to create in more commonly used applications like PowerPoint. Mural is an online whiteboarding platform for creating visual artifacts such as mind maps and process maps.
While our templates use Mural, you should use whichever tool makes the most sense for your organization, based on the tools you already have access to and are comfortable using. Other common diagramming and collaboration tools include Microsoft Visio and Miro.
Creating a copy of the Mural template
To create a copy of one of the Mural templates:
1. Open the template. Click the template link on our Toolkit page. This will open a preview of the Mural template, with a red “Start from this template” button on the left-hand side.
2. Create your copy. Click the “Start from this template” button. You’ll be prompted to log in to Mural. If you don’t have an account, select “Sign up for free” in the top-right corner of the screen to create one.
